Grand Opening of TJ Maxx in South Lake Tahoe

The Grand Opening Ceremony of the TJ Maxx store in South Lake Tahoe took place this morning at 8am as a crowd anxiously awaited outside.

The 2012 American Century Championship continues to benefit Tahoe South as the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority distributed $64,500 to 23 non-profit groups through funds raised during the annual celebrity golf tournament.

Vagina Monologues to Benefit Family Resource Center

The goal of this year’s production of The Vagina Monologues is to stop violence against girls and women by bringing awareness to the public. Performances will be Friday and Saturday, February 24 and 25 at 7 pm at the Blue Angel Cafe loft.

Women's Domestic Violence Support Group

The recently re-named Live Violence Free organization (formerly South Lake Tahoe Women's Center) has weekly support groups on Tuesdays from 12:30pm to 1:30 pm - for those with domestic violence issues or concerns. Childcare is available.
