An outdoor free music concert is being held this Sunday, September 30 as a means to raise funds for Adam Rose. On August 21 of this year, Adam was riding his bicycle and was struck by an alleged drunk driver at 12th Street and Emerald Bay Road. He was care-flighted to Reno, was in critical condition for approximately two weeks and is now recuperating at home. Both Adam's arms and legs were broken and he is currently confined to a wheelchair. He faces over six months of rehabillitation. He will be present at the event.

Live at Lakeview Summer Concert Series at South Lake Tahoe kicks off the Labor Day weekend early on Thursday with some zesty Latin flavor featuring two local Latino bands. Los Barranqueños Del Norte will start off the evening with some Mariachi music followed by the headliner, Tahoe Musical, which will play a cross-pollination of traditional Cumbian (Columbian Salsa) and Del norte styles. For the second time in less than a year, Chesley Burnett "Sully" Sullenberger III will speak at Lake Tahoe, this time as a special guest speaker of the 2012 Lake in the Sky Air Show, Aug. 24-26 at the Lake Tahoe Airport.
Sullenberger gained fame when he successfully landed US Airways Flight 1549, which had been disabled by striking a flock of Canada geese, in the Hudson River off Manhattan, New York City, on January 15, 2009. All of the 155 passengers and crew aboard the aircraft survived.

Tickets are now available to purchase for the 23rd Annual Lake In the Sky Airshow “Pre-Flight Party.” Visit Lake Tahoe Visitor Centers located at 3066 Lake Tahoe Blvd or 4114 Lake Tahoe Blvd or 155 US Hwy 50 to purchase your ticket.
Tickets for the “Pre-Flight” party are $20 and include your admission into the air show the next day.

The 23rd Annual Lake in the Sky Air Show is quickly approaching. This year we will have a “Pre-Flight” party at the Embassy Suites featuring special guest speaker Sully Sullenberger, pilot meet and greet and a musical performance by the Manhattan Dolls. (See PDF below.)
