Tahoe Regional Young Professionals Kick-off 2012 with Speed Networking Event

Speed Networking kicks-off Tahoe Regional Young Professionals’ 2012 schedule of events, Thursday, Jan. 26, upstairs at The Fresh Ketch from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a cash bar, fun and games.
A new rendition of musical chairs meets speed networking, where participants have a couple of minutes to meet new people and share details: i.e. your name, what you do, where are you from; when did you move here; and what are your career goals. Bring business cards for a variety of games, such as guessing whose card you have taped to your back.

The Fresh Ketch’s happy hour, Monday – Friday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., is ideal for grabbing a bite to eat before networking begins at 6 p.m. upstairs. Specials include: $5 Rum Runners, $4 house wine, $2.75 Coors Light, $1 off draught beer and $1 off well drinks. Appetizer favorites range from $1.50 - $6 and consist of Baked Brie, Zucchini, Calamari, Burger or Pork Sliders, Edamame, Bruschetta and Fresh Shucked Oysters. Go here to see the menu and more.

TRYP will be hosting their February networking event in conjunction with Monterey County Young Professionals Group and Central Coast Young Farmers, Friday, Feb. 17, near the casino corridor, more details coming soon. Throughout 2012 TRYP will establish a series of networking opportunities professional presentations, community beautification projects, FUNdraisers and mixers.
