Of those, six are in El Dorado Hills, one in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, two in the Greater Placerville area, and four in the Lake Tahoe Region.
The new cases: 2 are under the age of 18, 7 aged 18-49, 3 aged 50-64, and 1 aged 65 or older.
Another 343 people were tested for the coronavirus and 330 negative tests results were received.
There have been another six assumed recoveries with 150 assumed active cases.

Of those, one is in El Dorado Hills, two in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, one in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, three in the Greater Placerville area, one in South County, and one in the Lake Tahoe Region.
The new cases: 1 aged 18-49, 6 aged 50-64, and 2 aged 65 or older.
Another 182 people were tested for the coronavirus and 173 negative tests results were received.

Of those, seven are in El Dorado Hills, four in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, six in the Greater Placerville area, one in South County, and four in the Lake Tahoe Region.
The new cases are two under the age of 18, 12 aged 18-49, and eight aged 50-64.
Another 211 people were tested for the coronavirus and 189 negative tests results were received.
There have been another three assumed recoveries with 135 assumed active cases.

Of those, four are in El Dorado Hills, three in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue and none in the Lake Tahoe Region.
Another 189 people were tested for the coronavirus and 182 negative tests results were received.
There have been another 12 assumed recoveries with 109 assumed active cases.
One person has been admitted to the ICU for COVID-19 and there are currently no suspected cases of COVID-19 in the hospital.

Hilary Roverud officially named Development Services Director

El Dorado County Animal Services rescues two dogs abandoned on US50
Submitted by paula on Mon, 09/28/2020 - 9:32pmEL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - El Dorado County Animal Services is looking for information from anyone who may have witnessed two German Shepherd dogs being abandoned on Highway 50 near Bridal Veil Falls and Fresh Pond in earlier this month. The young adult male dogs, which were found malnourished and with their metal chain collars embedded into their necks, were rescued by Animal Services officers and are now safely at the Animal Services Shelter in Diamond Springs.

Lake Tahoe boat inspections move to winter operation schedule October 1
Submitted by paula on Wed, 09/23/2020 - 4:53pmBeginning October 1, watercraft inspections for the detection and prevention of aquatic invasive species (AIS) will change locations and shift to a first-come, first-served basis, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) and the Tahoe Resource Conservation District (Tahoe RCD) announced today.
With this shift back to on-demand inspections, the agencies are closing out the inspection appointment system initiated this year to lower the risk of COVID-19 spread.

Tahoe Prosperity Center supports Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless - Project Homekey

The funds awarded will support the local community to purchase and rehabilitate housing, including hotels, motels, vacant apartment buildings, and other properties, and convert them into permanent, long-term housing for people facing homelessness and those currently in insufficient short-term housing. We strongly support the Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless and their Project Homekey plans.

Officials say another 14 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since Friday. Of those, seven are in South Lake Tahoe, five in El Dorado Hills, one in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, and one in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz.
Another 467 people were tested for the coronavirus and 453 negative tests results were received.
Jack Green ~ 2001 - 2020

His rapid decline in mental health was caused by many factors, central to which was the COVID-19 quarantine. Jack’s family and friends struggle to understand the delusion and despair which lead to this, when his life held such promise.
Free face masks and hand sanitizer for Tahoe’s small businesses

Through its participation in the El Dorado County Business Protection Workgroup, TPC has been able to help businesses find funding and develops plans to stay open through the impacts of COVID-19. They now have been able to procure the PPE needed to meet safety guidelines, protect employees and customers, and stay open for business.
US50 Echo Summit one lane closure starts Sunday night

There have been another 13 assumed recoveries. There has been no change in hospitalizations/ICU (0/0) and there are no suspected cases of COVID-19 in the hospital.

Submitted by paula on Fri, 09/04/2020 - 6:05pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -El Dorado County health officials say another 13 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday. Of those, three are in each the Lake Tahoe Region and Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, five in El Dorado Hills, one each in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz and Greater Placerville. In this group of new cases are nine aged 18-49, three aged 50-64 and one aged 65 or older.
Another 205 people were tested for the coronavirus and 192 negative tests results were received.

Submitted by paula on Thu, 09/03/2020 - 6:38pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County health officials say there have been an additional eight cases of COVID-19 in the county since yesterday. None of those are in the Lake Tahoe area, six were in El Dorado Hills, and one each in Greater Placerville and South County.
Of the new cases, five are aged 18-49, and two aged 50-64.
An additional 180 tests were administered and 172 tests came back negative.
There have been six assumed recoveries with no confirmed patients in the hospital. There is one suspected case in the ICU.
To date, two county residents have died.
