Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 33 and a low tonight of 22. Today: Isolated snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

Heavenly - Packed Powder. No New Snow in last 24 hours. 100% of their terrain is now open which means 4700 acres, 28 lifts and 95 runs are open. The base depth is 63". Lift status. Mostly sunny, with a high near 19. South wind around 10 mph.

Message from Heavenly: Cold start to the new year for heavenly, but with little to no wind, and mostly sunny skies, the riding will be great!

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Packed Powder. No new snow. 11 lifts are open. Burton Progressive, Bashful and Upper Snowshoe pipes are open. Groomed conditions on 31 of their open 41 runs. Base depth is 40". Lift status. Mostly sunny, with a high near 23. Wind chill values as low as -6. East wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Message from Sierra: We’re starting the first weekend of the New Year spinning 10 lifts + tows at 8:30 am with 45 open trails, 32 groomed runs, and 4 terrain parks for all abilities. NOAA is forecasting a mostly sunny day with highs in the lower 30's and a light southwest breeze. So far this season, we've had a total of 179" coat our beautiful mountain, with a current base depth ranging from 40-78". Highways 50, 88, + 89 are open, however roads are icy so take your time heading up! Better yet, save yourself the hassle of driving and take one of our free shuttles picking up at multiple locations on the South Shore.

Kirkwood - Packed Powder. No new snow. 100% of the mountain terrain is open with 2300 acres, 12 lifts and 86 runs. 66" base.Lift status. The base depth is 66". Partly sunny, with a high near 32. South southwest wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
