Connecting the dots to Lake Tahoe prosperity presented at March 5 forum

In October 2012, all sectors of the Lake Tahoe South Shore community came together, shared knowledge and discussed a vision for economic revitalization. During that forum a collective voice was discovered on many issues.

Now we need to connect the dots. In the spirit of the TED talks that sparked a wildfire of communal knowledge and immediate action around "ideas worth spreading," the Tahoe Prosperity Center and TahoeChamber are holding a second economic forum March 5.

Business, government, education, transportation, recreation, and healthcare leaders will be sharing their plans, ideas and projects that are focused on economic revitalization on the South Shore. This forum is all about “connecting the dots” between projects that are moving Tahoe toward prosperity.

Attendees will be asked to participate by sharing their ideas and identifying significant community infrastructure needs or initiatives.

SSTMA, City of South Lake Tahoe, and K-Tahoe radio are sponsoring the forum. More sponsorships are available. For more information contact B Gorman at bgorman@tahoechamber.org.

TahoeChamber and the Tahoe Prosperity Center will host the forum on March 5, starting with a reception at 5 p.m. followed by the presentations at 6 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, Calif. This event is free and open to the public. Please join us in helping to move and spread some ideas for Tahoe's prosperity.

The Tahoe Prosperity Center was formed in response to the Lake Tahoe Basin Prosperity Plan (“LTBPP”) and is an unprecedented coalition of government, private and philanthropic stakeholders in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The TPC promotes regional sustainability through economic vitality, environmental stewardship and healthy communities in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin.

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce (TahoeChamber) is the leading voice of business. Businesses located within the City of South Lake Tahoe, CA and Stateline, NV and the surrounding region find resources, representation, programs, services and member discounts at TahoeChamber. TahoeChamber is funded by its 650 members, including the dedicated contributors of the Chairman's Circle who are committed to the growth of the Lake Tahoe economy.
