Event Date:
March 13, 2018 - 5:00pm
What does a community "rich in art" look like? The Tahoe Arts Alliance is partnering with Nevada Arts Council to hold a Public Arts Town Meeting and to share and get public input on Tuesday, March 13 at the Tahoe Mountain Lab from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Residents, businesses and non-profits are being brought together to assess the current "state of the arts" on the South Shore.
At this meeting, participants will assess the community’s current cultural vitality and develop a collective vision for arts and culture for the next 5-10 years. All South Shore residents are encouraged to participate.
“The Tahoe Arts Alliance is thrilled to bring this forum to the South Shore,” says Rae Matthews, President of the Board of Directors. “Promoting an arts and culture identity for the South Tahoe region will not only contribute to increased economic vitality, but will also provide a sense of community and place where creativity can thrive.”
Data and ideas generated during this public meeting will be shared with attendees and will be used to inform the basis of an Arts & Culture Master Plan for Tahoe's South Shore. This information will allow the Tahoe Arts Alliance and Nevada Arts Council to work with the bi-state South Shore community to set arts and cultural priorities for the future.
The Tahoe Mountain Lab is located at 3079 Harrison Ave. #12 in South Lake Tahoe.
