Updated closures in South Lake Tahoe due to threat of coronavirus COVID 19

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The threat of the coronavirus COVID-19 has prompted more events and activities to be postponed or canceled in the South Lake Tahoe area. At this time there are no confirmed cases in El Dorado, Douglas, or Carson City counties.

Lake Tahoe Unified School District

Both concerts scheduled for this week have been canceled.

All upcoming kindergarten tours have been canceled.
Contact individual schools for on-site meetings.
All high school athletic games and meets have been canceled until further notice.

Service Clubs and Others

Tahoe Sierra Kiwanis has canceled their annual Ham Bingo originally scheduled for April 4.

Tahoe Douglas Rotary has canceled their annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration. Online auction and Hawaii trip raffle tickets still available.

The Knights of Columbus at Saint Theresa Church in South Lake Tahoe annual Saint Patrick's dinner scheduled on March 15 is canceled.

Leadership Lake Tahoe 2020 has rescheduled the Pints for a Cause fundraising event supporting the Art on the Edge community art project from 3/13 to Friday, April 10 from 6PM -9PM at South Lake Brewery Co.

Lake Tahoe Community College has canceled the closing reception for its three current art exhibits originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14.

AARP Tax-Aide programs at LTCC Site and the Senior Center are closed to gatherings of 10 people or more. They have been canceled until further notice.

All classes at the SLT Recreation Center are closed until further notice.

All LTCC meetings of outside groups are canceled. This includes the annual Drug Store Project.
