Three sought in South Lake Tahoe motel robbery

South Lake Tahoe police are investigating an armed robbery at the Pinewood Lodge that happened late Saturday night.

Three are being sought by police after a woman and two men wearing ski masks robbed the motel at gunpoint, said South Lake Tahoe Police Sgt. Shannon Laney. It happened at about 11:30 p.m. The suspects, described as a black female and two black males, were armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and a hunting knife. The trio escaped in a Cadillac.

Armed Robbery at Motel

South Lake Tahoe, CA - On March 30th at approximately 11:30 PM, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that just occurred at the Pinewood Lodge, 3818 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

It was reported to officers that an unidentified female knocked at the front lobby door that was locked. She stated to the clerk that she needed a room. The female was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and the clerk could not see her face. The clerk opened the door and two unidentified males wearing ski masks and gloves entered the office. One male was armed with a handgun and pushed the clerk behind the counter. The second male was armed with a large hunting knife and he placed it near the clerk’s neck. The female demanded money as the male armed with the handgun opened the cash drawer and removed an undisclosed amount of cash. The trio left in a brown four door Cadillac headed eastbound towards the casino corridor.

The suspects were described as:
Female;
Black female adult with a small build
Approximately 5’4” tall
Wearing a grey sweatshirt with a good and wearing black gloves

Male #1;
Black male adult with a medium build
Approximately 6’2”
Wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans, black ski mask and black gloves
Armed with a small black semi-automatic handgun

Male #2;
Black male adult with a medium build
Approximately 6’2”
Wearing all dark clothing, black mask and black gloves
Armed with a large hunting style knife with a black blade
