Celebration For Grand Re-opening of South Lake Tahoe Senior Center

South Lake Tahoe seniors have their center back, and there will be a grand re-opening party to welcome them back into their updated home.

The Senior Center,located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd, received new paint, new carpet, and heavy cleaning in order for local seniors to be able to use the whole facility including the library, dance floor, offices and other areas formerly used by the county's Mental Health Department.

In January of 2012 the El Dorado County Mental Health Services moved into the Senior Center and there has been discussion ever since on how to get the two groups into separate locations. The Mental Health Services have moved into temporary housing while their new home at the corner of Tata Lane and Lake Tahoe Blvd is renovated.

The community is invited to the celebration on Monday, April 7 at 4 p.m.
