Local's Day at Lake Tahoe Golf Course: Rounds of golf as well as fun foot golf

Lake Tahoe Golf Course is hosting their annual Local’s Day with a BioBlitz/Earth Day event on Wednesday, April 22nd from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. BioBlitz is a species counting competition organized by Audubon International to create awareness among golfers and the community about the environmental value of the habitats supported by golf courses.

Lake Tahoe Golf Course is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - The general public is invited play 18 holes of golf for a donation of $15.00 – This $15 donation will benefit local Rotary clubs and The Sierra House Growing Domes. We ask that each golfer come back with a minimum of (1) animal or plant species they find while playing on our golf course that day.

All golfers will be entered into a drawing for a FUN local’s gift basket!!

5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Everyone, young and old, from the community are invited to go to the course, play Foot Golf https://youtu.be/IBJI5uVF-EM and count species as well. This is a FREE event.

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Everyone who participates in the Locals Day/Bio Blitz is invited to Lake Tahoe Golf Course's Earth Day Clubhouse reception. Kids can enjoy an ice cream sundae bar for all their hard work, and adults can enjoy appetizers, Happier Gilmore Rum Runners, and other drink specials! They will collect everyone’s species/plant lists and celebrate Lake Tahoe Golf Course’s dedication to Environmental Stewardship.
