South Lake Tahoe police give more details from Whiskey Dick's bar shooting

More details have emerged from the early Sunday morning shooting at Whiskey Dick's Saloon in South Lake Tahoe in which a shot was fired inside the bar.
Scott Enerson, 48, from South Lake Tahoe faces a charge of attempted murder in the incident, which happened at around 1:40 a.m. New information reported from South Lake Tahoe Police investigating the incident include the suspect allegedly taking a loaded handgun from his waistband and holding it against the head the 31-year-old victim, identified as Harlee Suid-Tuttle, of South Lake Tahoe. After one round of gunfire went into the ceiling of the bar, the gun apparently malfunctioned, according to information from the investigation. Suid-Tuttle was able to take the gun away from Enerson and restrained him until police officers arrived, police said.

Attempted Murder by Firearm at Whiskey Dick’s Saloon

An attempted murder by firearm occurred this weekend at Whiskey Dicks Saloon, at 2660 Lake Tahoe Boulevard. At around 1:45am on Sunday morning 6-3-2012, police responded to Whiskey Dicks to investigate the report of a shooting inside the bar. The preliminary investigation revealed that Scott Enerson, a 48 year old local resident of South Lake Tahoe, pulled a loaded handgun from his waistband and held it against the head of 31 year old victim Harlee Suida-Tuttle; also a local resident of South Lake Tahoe. A struggle over the gun resulted. During the fight Enerson discharged one round from the weapon, which struck the ceiling of the bar. The weapon malfunctioned after firing this round and was wrestled away from suspect. Enerson was restrained by the victim when officers arrived on scene.

Scott Enerson was arrested for attempted murder and booked into the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe. No one was shot during the incident. Both Scott Enerson and Harlee Tuttle sustained minor injuries in the fight. Detectives are conducting follow up investigation to discover the relationship between the suspect and victim and to determine the reasons for this incident.
