South Lake Tahoe to see some 80s this week before a drop in temps

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There will be some instability remaining over the Sierra through Monday with thunderstorm remaining a good bet Monday before fading from view Tuesday onward as drier and more stable airmass moves in.

A strong ridge works into the region Tuesday into Wednesday leading to hot temps but nothing excessive. It breaks down Thursday leading to some below average digits. Just as Lake Tahoe experienced this winter, ridges are finding a hard time sustaining themselves for prolonged periods.
