Records could fall this week as South Lake Tahoe heats up

Feeling a little warm? Just over a week ago snow fell in South Lake Tahoe and now temperatures may break some records over the next few days. Good news is that even with highs in the 80s, they'll still be well below Sacramento who will continue to see triple digit temperatures all week.

Below are the record temperatures for this week along with the forecast high:

Monday - 85 in 1988. Forecast is 86.

Tuesday - 85 in 1981. Forecast is 88.
Wednesday - 85 in 1988. Forecast is 88.
Thursday - 85 in 1988. Forecast high is 87.
Friday - 87 in 1961. Forecast high is 83.
Saturday - 87 in 2015. Forecast high is 83.
Sunday - 90 in 1988. Forecast high is 83.

Monday Night - A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southwest after midnight.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 88. Light southwest wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
