Sunny skies and warm weather at Lake Tahoe expected through July 4 and into the weekend

Sunny skies and warm weather are in store for Lake Tahoe through the July 4 holiday and well into the weekend, according to the latest from the National Weather Service in Reno.
Here's the forecast:
Independence Day: Sunny, with a high near 80. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 78.
Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 80.
Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 80.
Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 81.

The near-perfect weather conditions means there will be no rain on the July 4 Parade through South Lake Tahoe.
Golden Bear Events presents the inaugural 4th of July Parade on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. The parade stages at Stateline Avenue and runs down Lake Tahoe Boulevard/Highway 50.
This event is sponsored by the South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, KTHO Radio 590 am and 96.1 FM and the City of South Lake Tahoe. Staging will be at Stateline Ave., then proceed down Hwy 50 to Rufus Allen Blvd.
The parade will culminate in the back of the parking lot at the Recreation Complex at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. Bring out the family to line the highway and watch or meet at the Recreation Complex for the celebration from noon to 3 p.m.

As a reminder, Lake Tahoe South's famed "Lights on the Lake" Fourth of July, an eye and sky candy extravaganza over Lake Tahoe, begins at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
With the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe as backdrop, the 24-minute display is set to digitized streamed music by radio stations KRLT 93.9 and KOWL 1490. The pyrotechnic extravaganza is celebrated annually by more than 100,000 on the shore of South Tahoe, and tens of thousands who watch from all points on the lake by boat and across the shores to the west, east and north.
Best viewing spots around South Shore’s sandy beaches include the new Lakeview Commons area, Nevada Beach, Timber Cove Marina, Camp Richardson, Baldwin Beach, Bijou Community Park, Edgewood Tahoe or on the lake a board M.S. Dixie II and Tahoe Queen Paddlewheelers.
