Douglas County Sheriff's Office nabs three on stolen vehicle and drug charges

MINDEN, Nev. - Three California residents were arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) on Sunday, July 21 at the Power Dam camping area.

Jeremy Stritenberger, 43, and Riki Scibelli Eltingham, 40, were arrested after a stolen Toyota Tacoma was found at the camping area on Washoe Road. The Toyota and a log splitter were reported stolen in Yuba City, Calif. Deputies located large amounts of property and personal effects inside the vehicle that they believe to be stolen in separate crimes.

Scibelli (her maiden name and what she is currently going by) originally gave the wrong name to officers, that of her sister. DCSO said she has two warrants out for her arrest from Calaveras County for parole and probation violations. DCSO Captain Jim Halsey said Scibelli cut off an ankle bracelet, leading to those warrants. The office originally put out a press release with the sister's name listed as the person arrested.

Also arrested with the pair was Alpine County resident John Clark, 54. His charges are possessions of drugs and paraphernalia. The other two are transients. The woman gave law enforcement wrong identity information and law enforcement has not released her accurate name, age or hometown. Stritenberger's driver's license showed Sonora as his last place of residence.
