July 29, 2014 - 12:00pm
Summer months can be very challenging for our community blood program, so roll up your sleeves and show your support. To meet local hospital commitments blood banks need the help of about 125 donors per day.
There are two blood drives in the South Lake Tahoe area in the next seven days. United Blood Services will be in town on Tuesday, July 29th at the Tahoe Douglas Fire Department from noon to 5 p.m. Drop ins are welcome but it is easy to schedule an appointment as well so wait time is less. All blood donors at this drive are entered into a contest to win a 2014 Toyota Corolla LE Plus.
The fire station is located at 193 Elks Point Road in the Round Hill area.
A second blood drive, this one provided by BloodSource, will be held on Monday, August 4th at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel from noon to 6 p.m.
To donate blood at either location you must a photo ID.
Donating blood is a simple way that we can give back to our community.
