Pair wanted in Douglas County arrested on burglary and drug charges in Utah

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - Two people suspected of burglarizing a home in Gardnerville and stealing a vehicle on July 31 have been arrested in Utah.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) announced the arrest of Jackie Coughran, of Medford, Oregon, and the passenger, Donell Jordon, of Salt Lake City on August 7 in Hurricane, Utah, which is just north of the Arizona border.

Both suspects are facing a multitude of charges to include possession of narcotics, paraphernalia, false id to police, weapons and fraud charges, in addition to the Gardnerville burglary and vehicle theft charges.

The pair was driving a van with federal license plates and altered VIN when they were stopped by Hurrican Police officers just after 8:00 a.m. They allegedly found drugs, a weapon and identification documents that did not belong to either individual according to the St. George News.

A records search found that both Coughran and Jordan were wanted by the Las Vegas Metro Police as well as DCSO. Jordon also had an active warrant from San Francisco for his arrest for first-degree felony burglary.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
