South Lake Tahoe weather: Nothing but sun for foreseeable future

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A warmer and drier trend will be in store through early next week. Dry conditions with light winds are expected through the weekend. Light winds ill prevail on Wednesday with increased winds Thursday. Wind gusts could reach around 25 mph Thursday afternoon across valley locations across the Sierra and western Nevada with 40-50 mph possible along Sierra ridgetops.

High temperatures increase into the mid and upper 60s across western Nevada valleys (low 60s in Sierra valleys) on Wednesday before returning to the 70s (W.Nevada) and upper 60s (Sierra Valleys) over the weekend.

For early next week, highs across western Nevada will approach the 80-degree mark with some increased westerly breezes by Tuesday as a weak trough slides to our north. This track would likely produce some increase in clouds along with some cooling toward the middle of next week, but wouldn`t be as cold as the recent air mass, according to the National Weather Service in Reno (NWS-Reno).
