Wild & Free, an epicurean fundraiser for Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care

Help Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care raise funds to help them care for injured and orphaned wild birds and animals at their "Wild & Free: A Culinary Event" on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Not only will attendees be helping a worthwhile cause, they will also be treated to a wonderful selection of fine wines, craft beers and culinary creations from The Lake House chef Jeff Sparrow.

Appetizers will include Crab Cakes, Hamachi Ceviche, Spicy Baba Ganoush and Roasted Beef Tartare. First course will be a choice between Caesar Salad, Mixed greens or roasted butternut squash bisque with crab soup. Entrees are a choice of Chicken Marsala, New York Strip Steak, Steelhead Trout or Mint-Crushted Seared Tofu. Desserts (yes, there is more) is a buffet of mini Tiramisu, Strawberry Cheesecake and flourless Chocolate Brownie.

Since their inception nearly 40 years ago, Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care has successfully released over 17,000 birds and animals to their native habitats. They work every day, all year to ensure orphaned and injured animals can live “Wild & Free.”
