Swanson, Sass just one vote apart, More absentee ballots still to be counted

Brooke Laine......13.35%........939 votes
Matt Palacio......12.83%........907 votes
Bruce Grego.......12.22%........864 votes
The results of the first wave of counting the approximate 13,000 absentee and provisional ballots from Tuesday's election were released this evening and just one vote separates two candidates from serving on the City Council or not.

There are now about 5,000 votes still to count. With a race this close, the elections department at El Dorado County may do some testing of results before certifying the election. They have 18 days to do so but with over half of the outstanding votes being counted over the last two days we may see results as early as Friday or Monday.
