SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County health officials say another 18 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday. Of those, four in El Dorado Hills, four are in Greater Placerville, one in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, three in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, one in North County, one Diamond Springs/El Dorado, and four in the Lake Tahoe region.

There have been another five assumed recoveries with 183 assumed active cases.

There are currently three COVID-19 patients in the Marshall or Barton hospital ICUs and no suspected cases hospitalized.

To move to the next tier, the yellow/minimal tier, the average daily rate of new cases needs to be less than one per 100,000 residents, and positivity rate of less than two percent for the previous two weeks. This cannot be done until being in the orange tier for three weeks at a minimum, which means there could have been a re-evaluation on November 10 (County did not quality at the original Nov. 3 date).

The County dashboard shows cases by episode date, not by the date El Dorado County Public Health was notified about the new case. Episode date is the earliest of the following dates: (symptom onset date, diagnosis date, specimen collection date, date received, or date of death) and serves as the best approximation of the date of infection.

The 7-day positivity rate for El Dorado County is 2.7 percent positivity (specimens from Oct. 23-29) and the 14-day rate of new cases is 87 (+5) (these figures do not include today's data).
