South Lake Tahoe road and school report

The snow forecast for Monday night arrived this morning in South Lake Tahoe, prompting morning commute road controls and school news.

All Lake Tahoe Unified Schools are open with no delays Tuesday morning,

Douglas County schools at the lake are "main bus stops only."

The Douglas County bus stops are designated as:

The corner of Tina Court and Ski Court for students living in the Tramway and Kingsbury Village area:

WHS - Bus will arrive at 6:35 a.m. and depart at 6:57 a.m.
ZCES - Bus will arrive at 7:55 a.m. and depart at 8:22 a.m.

Glenbrook area will board at the entrance to Glenbrook
WHS - Bus will arrive at 6:46 a.m.
ZCES - Bus will arrive at 8:03 a.m.

Parents are responsible for delivering students to the main bus stops in the morning and picking them up from the same stop in the afternoon.

Chains or 4WD with snow tires are required on Highway 50 from Twin Bridges to Meyers this morning.

Highway 88 from Woodfords to 4 miles east of Ham's Station calls for chains or 4WD with snow tires, then its chains or snow tires to Ham's Station.

Hwy 89 from Hwy 395 to SR 4 is closed. Chains or snow tires from Woodfords to Markleville. Chains or 4WD with snow tires are required from Pickett's Junction to Christmas Valley. Chains or 4WD with snow tires are required from Bliss State Park to 5 miles north of the Y.
