Two young children are among four killed after a crash on Highway 50 near Placerville on Saturday, the California Highway Patrol reports.
Five others were hurt in the crash when a Toyota Prius crossed over the center line on Highway 50 near Placerville around 6:05 p.m. and crashed with a minivan, said CHP spokesman John Frizzell. The names of the victims have not been released. Three of the victims are believed to be from the San Francisco bay area.
Three of the four people in the Prius — a 39-year-old man driving the car, an adult female and a child were killed it the crash. A child in the car suffered moderate injuries, according to CHP.
