Light up a Life — an annual South Lake Tahoe interfaith ceremony that provides the community an opportunity to gather and honor those of whom they've loved and lost — will be Thursday, Dec. 6, 5:30 p.m. at Inn by the Lake. The ceremony provides all to reflect and community members the chance to share and pay tribute to the memory of those lost who remain close.
Formerly known as the Tree of Remembrance, this year's ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting), followed by an indoor reception. Music and song will be performed by Steve Miller and Sean Cummings. Special handmade ornaments will be available for purchase. All proceeds will go to Barton Hospice services.
If you would like to honor someone, please fill out a card prior to the ceremony to include them in this special event. You will have the opportunity to read the name, or if you choose, a Barton staff member can read the name and you will have the opportunity to light a candle in their honor.
If you are unable to attend, organizers will read your loved one's name. For questions or information regarding "Light up a Life," please call Barton Foundation at (530) 543-5614.
