National Winter Trails Day features snowshoe trips at Camp Richardson

Take part in the National Winter Trails Day Celebration on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10am-3pm. This is an authentic Lake Tahoe winter experience featuring guided snowshoe hikes at Camp Richardson.

Guided snowshoe hikes featuring wildlife habitat and forest health, the watershed and water quality impacts, and historic aspects of Camp Richardson and the surrounding area.

This event is FREE and is brought to you by a partnership with the Forest Service, Tahoe Resource Conservation District, Generation Green and the City of South Lake Tahoe. Please dress in layers, wear hat and gloves, and bring plenty of water. Come for one, two, or all three tours!

Enjoy hot cocoa and snacks provided. Snowshoe rentals available. Hikes meet at Camp Richardson adjacent to the Winter Sports Center located at Hwy 89. All hikes are easy to moderate ability level and appropriate for adults and children 10 years and older.
