Festival of Winter Lights and Holiday in History share the stage in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The City of South Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society have teamed together once again for the 3rd annual Festival of Winter Lights on Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. nightly. The museum and its bookstore will be holding its Holiday in History during the festival and will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
This outdoor holiday market-style event will be held in the parking lot of the Lake Tahoe Historical Museum at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

A beautiful November morning overlooking Washoe Lake with majestic Slide Mountain in full view reflecting off of the smooth lake water. A herd of 60 Nevada Wild Mustangs is found grazing on the south end of the lake.

South Lake Tahoe to hold Unity Walk during United Against Hate week

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join South Lake Tahoe Mayor Cristi Creegan and other community leaders, residents, businesses, agencies, and organizations for a unity walk on November 16 to honor United Against Hate Week.
United Against Hate Week, which is recognized from November 12-18, is a call for local civic action to stop the hate and biases that pose a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns, and cities. Across the state, 100’s of cities and organizations are also taking a stand against hate by coming together throughout the week.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Blue Zone Sports is holding its annual Labor Day Tent Sale from August 30 - September 4. On Wednesday/Thursday the doors open at 10 a.m., and Friday-Sunday doors open at 9 a.m. This year a portion of the proceeds are benefitting Clean Up The Lake, Tahoe Fund, and Far West Skiing.
Wednesday is "Local's Day."
Winter gear (skis, snowboards, apparel, accessories, etc.) is 50% off. Summer gear is 30% off.

MEYERS, Calif. - The Meyers Mountain Market is opening for the season on Wednesday, June 7. The market is held in Tahoe Paradise Park on the banks of the Upper Truckee River. It is held on Wednesdays until September 13 from 3 p.m.-7:30 p.m., rain or shine.
Vendors offer fresh and locally grown fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs & honey. Fresh-baked goods, flowers, and arts & crafts are also available for purchase. Enjoy dinner at one of the food trucks and eat under the pine trees, on the sandy shore of Lake Baron, or on the beautiful banks of the river.
