Mural in Tahoe East Shore Trail tunnel unveiled

The mural, painted by local husband and wife art and design duo, Tyler Rivenbark and Frida Ticehurst-Rivenbark, was completed with help from students at Lake Tahoe School in Incline Village.

Along with the seasonal carols the group will be performing the audience is encouraged to join in singing.

Three weeks after he was born, he was carried into Angora Lakes Resort in a Washoe papoose basket. He was a staunch environmentalist and spent his lifetime protecting and preserving Angora and the greater Lake Tahoe Basin. The Angora Lakes Resort remains in the family.

Submitted by paula on Wed, 05/09/2018 - 7:28pmA South Lake Tahoe graduate is heading to the podium at the University of Southern California (USC) on Friday, draped with honors cords, award medallions and a pin that will signify her as the 2018 Class Valedictorian.
Rose Campion, 22, will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in History. The double major will leave her USC career behind with a 3.98 GPA.
In a school of 18,000 students and around 5,000 other soon-to-be graduates, it would seem almost impossible for a young woman from South Lake Tahoe to end up in the top spot on graduation day.
It's showtime for the 35th consecutive year for Marcia Sarosik's Shining Stars

The opening night is still being talked about, especially the opening number, The Greatest Show on Earth, though details are being kept secret until all have seen the show. Other numbers include Put a Little Love in Your Heart, Catch a Falling Star, Sit Still Look Pretty, Bitter and Sweet Symphony, True Colors and Buenos Aires.

John Bergstrom wouldn’t be long known for cabinets. He became renowned as a designer and manufacturer of exquisite pipe organs. They were towering creations – virtual cathedrals of sound – that reached toward the heavens with gold-leafed hardwood and intricately stenciled and painted musical pipes.

Concert goers will be treated to world class music under a tent near the lake at the Sierra Nevada College Campus August 1-3 and August 7-9.
The Lake Tahoe SummerFest orchestra is comprised of world renowned musicians representative of international symphonies including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver, among others.

Considered one of the best of a new generation of classical guitarists, French phenomenon Thibault Cauvin will perform at Hope Lutheran Church of the Sierra in South Lake Tahoe at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.
