Saint Joseph Community Land Trust hosts annual free pre-Thanksgiving Spaghetti Dinner

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join your friends and neighbors at the annual free pre-Thanksgiving Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, November 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Theresa Church Grace Hall. Everyone is invited as they give thanks to members and supporters for another successful year serving our community.

Before all the Thanksgiving preparation begins, come relax and let Saint Joseph Community Land Trust serve you a delicious Spaghetti Dinner! Enter the free drawing for a turkey to take home for your Thanksgiving Feast and enjoy raffle prizes from local businesses.

Consignment Pop-Up to support local women

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There will be a pop-up consignment shop at Woods Apothecary in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, November 23 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be vintage, designer, one-of-a-kind, and elevated festival gear featured. Support local women as they sell their excellent condition, pre-loved clothing, accessories, shoes, and apparel at beyond-fair prices.

They will accept cash or Venmo only.

Bread and Broth hosting annual community Thanksgiving Dinner November 25
November 25, 2024 - 4:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Bread & Broth is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday, November 25 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Theresa Church Grace Hall. This special holiday meal is for all community members. It will be a full-course meal that includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, rolls, and pie for dessert. In addition, dinner guests will be given a food giveaway bag containing dairy products (eggs, milk, and butter), fresh produce, bread, pastries, meat, and canned goods.

Parent Night presentation "Steered Straight" in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – Partnership Douglas County and Douglas County are hosting the “Steered Straight Parent Night Presentation” on December 2, 2024, at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center.

This impactful event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will offer valuable insights and resources to parents and community members. The presentation will be in the Grandview Dining Room, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville, Nev.

Bijou Elementary School 5th Grade Fundraiser at Elements
December 4, 2024 - 5:30pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 5th graders at Bijou Elementary are excited to participate in an overnight trip to Sierra Nevada Journeys to learn outdoor science education. To accomplish this, the students are holding a fundraiser at Elements Eatery and Bar on Wednesday, December 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Besides food, there will also be a student art sale and a scavenger hunt for the kids.

Early-bird tickets are available through November 30. That cost for a meal and drink is $30 for kids and $45 for adults, and starting Dec. 1 the price goes up five dollars per person.
