Smoke is from planned South Shore prescribed fires
Submitted by admin on Fri, 10/21/2011 - 9:43amSmoke that set in around South Lake Tahoe Monday afternoon was from a prescribed burn operation near Meyers. Service fuels management crews have resumed prescribed fire operations on the south side of the intersection of Pioneer Trail and U.S. Highway 50.
In addition, operations were to resume in the Angora fire area weather permitting. Both operations may continue through the week.
