This special edition train ride from Carson City to Virginia City will provide mom with a long stem rose, Wild West history, storytelling, shopping and dining in Virginia City to go along with the spectacular scenery. The train features a 1953 ALCO heritage diesel locomotive leading 100 year-old Pullman coaches displaying the distinctive yellow and green of the V&T.

The Academy of Dance Arts: A Spring Celebration

The Academy of Dance Arts is proud to present, in it’s 18th year, A Spring Celebration at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa May 18-19. The show will consist of two parts. First will be performed a ballet entitled Princess For A Day, which will feature excerpts from seven different fairytales, with seven different princesses including the beautiful Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, the fun and feisty Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and the playful and spunky Jasmine from Aladdin. Accompanying the princesses will be different characters from each fairytale.

Slow Rollers Spirit Bike Parade

South Lake Tahoe cycling enthusiasts are going after the world record for the largest bicycle parade.

Genoa Trail System Grand Opening

The Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA) is making plans for the grand opening of the 16-mile Genoa Trail System, 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12. This free event is open to the public and will take place at the Eagle Ridge Trailhead, located next to the green water tank, approximately 1.8 miles north of Genoa off of Jacks Valley Road on Eagle Ridge Road.

We’ll also swap trail stories, so bring a friend! We hope your experience will inspire you to get more involved with this “trail like no other.”
