Ripperoo Parade in the Heavenly Village

Ripperoo, Heavenly’s loveable mascot, will give children the chance to star in their own parade as they play music, sing songs, and march through Heavenly Village. The Ripperoo Parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the base of the Gondola and will end with hot chocolate and photos with Ripperoo. For more information, call (775)586-7000.

Friends of South Lake Tahoe Branch Library Booksale

On Saturday, February 11th from 10 am to 3 pm the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library will be having a Booksale to support the Friends of the Library Free Children’s Programs. There is a large selection to choose from. Hardcover & paperback, DVDs, VHS & books on tape will also be available at bargain prices. The booksale is a great way to stock up on your reading materials while helping support your local library. Come early for the best selection.

Heavenly and Northstar to open more terrain this weekend

With last week's winter storms dropping nearly four feet of snow at Lake Tahoe's south shore, Heavenly Mountain Resort will open more trails and terrain beginning Saturday. Heavenly will open Galaxy Chairlift and the associated trails, Groove Terrain Park with six jumps and 18 creative features, and Lakeview Lodge, which is the final of Heavenly’s nine on-mountain restaurants to open.
