City of South Lake Tahoe - State of the City Address

The city is currently embattled with budget problems, leading to a showdown between employees bargaining units and city negotiators.
The regular meeting will be followed by a Special Budget Meeting to discuss remedies for a $5.2 million budget shortfall.

City of South Lake Tahoe Special Budget Meeting

This is a follow up to the Special Budget Meeting of September 15, in which the budget was presented but vote by council was postponed until October. The city is functioning on an interim budget until October 31, 2011.
The city is facing a budget shortfall and seeking to lay off workers as a remedy.
