Earth, Wind & Fire is an American band that blended their talents through their decades of success. The band was described by ROLLING STONE magazine as “innovative, precise yet sensual, calculated yet galvanizing" and declared that the band "changed the sound of black pop." Video Hits 1 (VH1) described EWF as "one of the greatest bands" ever.

Collectively, Earth, Wind & Fire has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the NAACP Image Award Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and Hollywood’s Rockwalk. Their music awards are just as impressive winning six GRAMMYs, the ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Heritage Award, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, among many others.

“Conveying the message of universal love and harmony since their inception in the early 1970s, their music, combined with the talents of the Orchestra, are a must-see celebration this summer,” said Reider.

The RJO has been based in Northern Nevada for over 20 years and was formed by musicians who performed and traveled the world with acts such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis Presley, Natalie Cole, Luciano Pavarotti, and other legendary performers. The tradition of jazz excellence set by the founders continues today with jazz professors, educators, and graduates from UNR’s jazz studies program setting new standards of performance.

Healing HealthCare Systems, Chase International, The E.L. Cord Foundation, Nevada Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Art Works, City of Reno, Artown, Thunder Vick & Co., Montreux Golf and Country Club, American Federation of Musicians, and the RJO Circle of Friends support this event.
