Kudos: Liberty Utilities supports community through volunteerism

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - “Liberty loves Bread & Broth and supporting our local community non-profits,” shared Breanna Kelly who was enjoying her first stint as a Liberty Utilities’ Adopt A Day of Nourishment (AAD) sponsor volunteer on Monday, February 13. After conferring with her fellow Liberty AAD sponsor teammates, Breanna added that “serving a nutritious meal to others is rewarding and benefits all of us.”

Whether enjoying a hot, nutritious meal or being involved in the preparation and serving of the meal, the free community dinner provided by Bread & Broth helps to unite community members and gives all involved a sense of personal connection. “Met a lot of great people and my interesting conversations make it a fun experience,” said Breanna.

Fellow Liberty team members, Anna Hall, Lee Kiolbasa, and Frank Papandrea, also have been involved in volunteering in the community through the generous Liberty employee volunteer program. Both Lee and Frank have volunteered at B&B’s Monday Meal several times in the last year and it is always great to see return Liberty volunteers.

The Liberty team was a great help throughout the 3-hour meal service. Their help involved bagging the food ‘giveaway’ bags and manning the serving line helping serve the drinks and dessert and then finishing up the evening with the dinner’s takedown and dish drying. Kudos to Liberty Utilities and its service-minded team members. We look forward to their next sponsorship meal on April 10.
