SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Each of the nine candidates for City Council answered the same ten questions that were given to them by South Tahoe Now. For nine consecutive days the candidate's responses will be shared in the order received.
Today, the current Mayor Pro Tem Tom Davis gives his responses as he seeks re-election to the South Lake Tahoe City Council:
City of South Lake Tahoe to fill 19 commissioner spots

With a record number of local residents recently vying for two open City Council positions, many are hoping there is a renewed interest in filling vacancies on four city commission and board spots as well.
The City of South Lake Tahoe is looking for residents to fill 19 city commission and board positions on the Planning Commission, Recreation Commission, Airport Land Use Commission and the Building/ADA Board of Appeals. Applications are being accepted until the deadline of December 2, 2016.

Lake Tahoe Airport Manager leaving for Chico job

After seven years on the job in South Lake Tahoe, Sherry Miller is headed to Chico as their new airport manager. Hired by David Jinkins in 2009 as the City's airport manager, Miller's last day on the job will be Friday, June 24.
Miller was in Chico last week to meet the five members of their airport commission prior to their confirming her appointment by Mark Orme, the Chico City Manager.
