Finalists named for 12th annual Blue Ribbon Awards
Submitted by paula on Mon, 11/04/2019 - 7:26pmLAKE TAHOE, Ca./Nv. – Tahoe Chamber's 12th annual Blue Ribbons Awards will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Harrah's Lake Tahoe. The event honors and celebrates South Shore businesses and individuals.
The cost of the event is $65 for Tahoe Chamber members and $85 for non-members and includes champagne upon arrival, a 3-course dinner and a glass of wine.

Summer is not all beach and playtime for Lake Tahoe area kids, its also time to hang out with Shakespeare. For the second consecutive year, Will's Kids will take place at Valhalla inside Tallac Historic Site on Friday, August 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Will’s Kids is a collaboration between Live Violence Free, Tahoe Youth and Family Services, Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe, the D.G. Manchetti Young Shakespeare Program, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival to bring art to the children of the community.
Tahoe for Standing Rock holding benefit concert

Lake Tahoe area supporters of those protesting the pipeline in Standing Rock, ND will be holding a benefit concert at the Tahoe Biltmore on the North Shore on Saturday, December 3 starting at 1:00 p.m.
The family friendly event will feature musicians along with members of local Native American tribes. Also on tap is a arts and crafts area with face painting, raffle and silent auction. Tickets are $20 for adults (12 and under are free) and available by clicking HERE.
Fundraiser for couple who lost home in South Lake Tahoe fire

The Benko Art Gallery in South Lake Tahoe is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, May 7 for Grant and Cecelia Nobleman, the young couple who lost their home, animals and belongings in a fire on Aspen Avenue April 21. The benefit will be from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
There will be a $5 donation at the door, and a silent auction from various artists in the area who have donated art work. All proceeds will directly support the Nobleman’s loss. Live music and art auction too!

The Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation and Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe are teaming up once again for the fourth annual “Off the Wall” Art Auction at LTCC. Participants can enjoy works of art created by locally and regionally known artists, bid on their favorites, and support local education and charitable organizations, all at the same time.
The artwork up for auction is being donated by a number of local artists, including nationally known artist and LTCC Art Department Chair Phyllis Shafer, David Russo, and many other Art Department faculty members.

South Lake Tahoe's 3rd Annual Off The Wall Art Auction will feature local and regional artists, including Phyllis Shafer. The event is being put on jointly by the South Lake Tahoe Rotary Club and the Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation.
New this year will be a Kick-off party as well as four days of viewing before the main event, the auction. The Halden Gallery at LTCC will be the location of each day's activities.

David Girard Vineyard will be the site where the Wine Tasting/Art Auction will take place, and the Wine Tasting will feature fine David Girard Vineyard wines.
