Letter to the Editor: The worse it gets, the more we need each other
Submitted by paula on Fri, 11/20/2020 - 3:16pmWe are a very small congregation; we are following all the guidelines from State, County, City and our governing body Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Tattoo, hair, and massage parlors are allowed to remain open and deemed as “essential” for Personal Care Services. What about Spiritual Care Services?
When we are at church, we are one in Christ, in prayer, taking authority over the enemy and over the fallen things in this world. There is a supernatural power in the “two or three” gathering together!

Howie’s Top 21 Favorite Halloween Pics
Submitted by paula on Tue, 10/27/2020 - 6:36pmThere are those that would say 2020 is hands down the scariest Halloween movie ever and yeah, I wouldn’t argue with that. The script for this year has certainly freaked everybody out. Add to that an election year and the advent of modern day zombies who’ve been quarantined a little too long and you have the ultimate scary flick that appears to have no ending. Are you wearing your mask? Yeah, I’d rather be scared by a movie and not real life if that’s okay?

She grew up in Holland where there were places where people would meet, talk and enjoy, and wanted that in South Lake Tahoe. Three area events to examine Higher Education vs. Global Flood
Submitted by paula on Mon, 07/15/2019 - 10:55pmEvent Date:
July 19, 2019 - 7:00pm
Genesis tells us that God destroyed all land and its inhabitants in judgment of sin within 1700 years of creation and Jesus affirms this in both the accounts of Luke and Mathew, yet modern academia (including many Christian schools) deny a global flood during the human experience. Could the "greatest minds of science" be wildly wrong about something as big as a moving continent or the interpretation of the fossil record? Have geologists been wrong about something this big in the recent past? Could the concept of geologic time be a runaway legend from the 20th century?
