Blue Angels flying through local skies for this weekend's Aviaion Roundup

The 2018 Aviation Roundup at the Minden-Tahoe airport will feature the US Navy Blue Angels flying team and 11 different flying acts this weekend, October 13 and 14.
Gates for the airshow will open at 10:00 a.m. on both Saturday & Sunday, and the airshow will start around 11:30. The starting time is subject to change due to scheduling and weather, so please plan on being ready by 11:00 am.
It wraps up between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
There are vendors, food and merchandise available at the event.

Canada's CF-18 Demo Team has just been added to this year's lineup at the Minden-Tahoe Airport's Aviation Roundup to be held October 7-8, 2017. They join an impressive group of teams and performers including the USAF Thunderbirds, US Army Golden Knights, US Navy Tac Demo Team, Greg Koontz & the Alabama Boys, Rob Holland, Jacquie B, Bob Carlton, Smoke N Thunder and other fighter jets.
Besides the action in the air there will be numerous attractions accessible to the public including a wide variety of items for sale and informational booths, over 70 in all.
Douglas County 6th graders learn about Minden-Tahoe Airport

Students had the opportunity to learn about how airplanes and airports work and how they might someday be involved in aviation. The organizers of the four day program calculated that more than 38 people volunteered some 350 hours in order to make this program a success.
Flying Eagles F 18 Super Hornet Demonstration Team headed to Minden

The Carson Valley Aviation Roundup has announced the Flying Eagles VFA-122 will be performing demonstration flights in the F18F Super Hornet during their air show, the Aviation Roundup on August 22 and 23, 2015. This is an outstanding addition to an already fantastic lineup of performers.
Dr. Kyle Swanson to be honored during Minden Airshow
Submitted by paula on Fri, 08/14/2015 - 4:41pmMilitary veterans of all ages will be honored at the 5th Annual Aviation Roundup, August 22 and 23, 2015 at Minden-Tahoe Airport. Among those veterans being recognized is Dr. Kyle Swanson, an orthopedic surgeon with Tahoe Orthopedics & Sport Medicine in Carson City and Lake Tahoe. The Army veteran served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan where he performed surgeries on soldiers and Afghan civilians injured during the conflict of war.
The Thunderbirds coming to Minden-Tahoe Airport

The 5th Annual Aviation Roundup will be held on August 22 and 23 at the Minden-Tahoe Airport. The show will feature the US Air Force Thunderbirds, Team Rocket, Bill Stein, Kyle Franklin, Matt Younkin, Manfred Radius, and Dan Buchanan.
The performers will perform on both days, with the gates opening at 10:00 a.m. and Opening Ceremonies at 12:00 pm.
There will be no bleachers or seating available so lawn/beach chairs are encouraged.
K-Tahoe hits the Minden-Tahoe "Aviation Roundup"

Lake Tahoe Airport "Lake in the Sky" airshow had to be cancelled due to the smoke from the fires, so they made it down the mountain into Minden for the Minden/Tahoe Airport "Aviation Roundup this past weekend. It was quite incredible when an actual P-51 Mustang taxied up behind them!
