Shaping up to be a great day for early season turns. Cold temps are allowing resorts to continue to make snow and open more lifts and runs. Ski and ride with care!
TODAY’S WEATHER: Expect Partly Cloudy Skies with Highs 32F-37F (22F-27F on the Slopes) with East Winds around 10mph & possible Ridge Gusts up to 60mph.
TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy then Clearing with overnight Lows 8F to 18F. East winds around 10 mph shifting to SW up to 10mph after midnight.

Residents and Businesses Work to Restore Lake Tahoe’s Natural Beauty

October 12, 2014 - 9:30am Residents and businesses located in Nevada and California have joined efforts to remove graffiti and trash from Lake Tahoe which is known for its pristine water and incredible natural setting. On Sunday, October 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., organizers invite friends and supporters of Lake Tahoe to participate in this special multi-state effort. They will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Sand Harbor for a safety talk, graffiti and trash removal instructions and supplies.

Boreal opens for the season
Submitted by Editor on Sun, 10/30/2011 - 2:14pmTo the delight of Lake Tahoe's jib-starved legions, the first ski lift in California started spinning Friday afternoon at Boreal Mountain Resort on Donner Summit. The previous week of cold nights in the Sierra allowed Boreal to make enough snow to open one 100 percent man-made run. The open slope featured terrain park obstacles top to bottom.
