Letter: Measure C needs to be rewritten, Vote No
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 10/31/2017 - 2:50pm
Event Date:
October 31, 2017 (All day) As it stands right now, any tax money collected goes to the General Fund where it can be disbursed as the city sees fit regardless what it is ear. That's why this Measure C is a good tax (if there is a good tax), because it is a specific fund that cannot be used for anything but what it's voted on.
Specifically this started as a way to keep CalPERS from robbing the general fund for unfunded pensions and liabilities. The problem is it's not enough and everyone knows it, even the authors.

The first trip was to Breckenridge, a visit I piggybacked on top of a wedding I attended in Vail. I met with their Mayor, City Manager (formerly the police chief) and the assistant city manager. We met for two hours and our talk was primarily centered on their experiences with the legalization of cannabis in Breckenridge.

But, it’s puking snow and howling wind in Breckenridge, so the jump segment was cancelled. The riders all agreed it would be in everyone’s best interest to hold-off from hitting the booter in these conditions, so they used the top jibs scores for the winners.
