Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra invites community to a Brain Health discussion

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Soroptimist International Club of Tahoe Sierra (SITS) invites the community to their weekly meeting on Thursday, February 27 when they feature Barton Health's Neurology Specialist, Rituparna Das, MD. The doctor will share insights on brain function and brain health.
The meeting will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Coffee will be served and both men and women are invited.
Barton expands neurological services in South Lake Tahoe
Submitted by paula on Mon, 04/08/2019 - 3:35pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Barton Health has expanded the area's access to care and treatment of neurological issues and opened a neurology office in South Lake Tahoe. To staff the new office they have brought on neurology specialist, Rituparna Das, MD to see patients 18 years and older.
Dr. Das is board-certified and experienced in rural health care systems. She was most recently practicing at Adventist Health Feather River Hospital in Paradise, Calif.

This is presented by the UC Davis Mind Institute featuring David Amaral Ph.D., distinguished professor from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

September 27, 2013 - 5:00pm Julian, 5, is diagnosed with cerebral palsy and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy that is difficult to treat. He has many different types of seizures multiple times a day. The journey to control his seizures has been difficult and on-going. The fundraiser will help raise money for alternative medicine not covered by health insurance. The fundraiser is free, and includes music, food, beer, wine, balloon twisting, and face painting. There will also be a silent auction from 6 -8 p.m. with great prizes. Everyone in the community is invited and encouraged to attend.
