Local businesses have been a resilient backbone of the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and honoring their contributions, achievements and milestones is more important than ever before.

Because of the support of the people below and the community, we raised $20,000 to help send our local kids to the Nevada Diabetes Association's Camp Buck.

Boys Scouts host 4th annual Car and Truck Show in Carson City
Submitted by paula on Sun, 07/23/2017 - 1:07pmIn their 77th year of providing scouting opportunities to boys in the Carson City and Carson Valley area, Boy Scout Troop 33 is hosting their 4th annual Send A Scout to Camp Car and Truck Show on Saturday, August 12 at Fuji Park in Carson City from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Participants can either pre-register or sign up the day of the event. Cost is $40. Each participant will get a T-shirt, one lunch meal ticket, and a dash plaque.
James Raymond (Routson) Wiggins
Submitted by paula on Tue, 01/24/2017 - 9:42pmBeloved father and friend to many, James Raymond (Routson) Wiggins, “Jimmy Ray”, passed away at age 69 on December 20th, 2016.
Jim loved life and all that it had to offer. He was passionate about spending time at the park with his grandson, and grand-dogs, skiing in Lake Tahoe and taking long rides with his friends and fellow members of the Tahoe Blue Riders Motorcycle Group.
He leaves behind his most proud accomplishments, his children, Matt, Shannon and his grandson, Benjamin, and three grand-dogs, Wrigley, Trooper and Leia.

TahoeChamber’s prestigious awards program that recognizes exceptional South Shore businesses received over 175 nominations for eight separate award categories. The finalists and winners will be announced at the 7th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards dinner and ceremony on November 13 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Tickets for the awards ceremony are now available for purchase at www.tahoechamber.org.

Fox & Hound Tahoe Wins "Best Ribs" at San Juan Bautista Rib Cook Off.
Submitted by paula on Fri, 05/23/2014 - 5:01pmFox & Hound of South Lake Tahoe brought home honors from the May 18 San Juan Bautista Rib Cook Off. Eight award winning rib teams cooked up thousands of pounds of ribs and sauces for the festival goers and judges. The Fox & Hound won 1st Place for their ribs and 2nd Place for their sauce!
The local restaurant, located at the top of Kingsbury Grade on Tramway Drive, has just begun competing in cook-offs but they have been bringing home the trophies.
