Lake Valley Fire Protection District (LVFDO) is hosting community gathering on Sunday, June 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m to mark the 10th anniversary of the devastating Angora Fire. This event will focus on the community’s healing and resiliency.

The UCCE Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe are holding a free workshop on how to plant and grow fall alliums with a focus on garlics and onions September 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Tahoe Community College Demonstration Garden.

The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) invites adults interested in helping others learn about gardening and landscaping to apply to train as a Lake Tahoe Master Gardener volunteer. UCCE Master Gardener volunteers learn University-based scientific information and then share that knowledge with the gardening community. Master Gardener volunteers are people of all ages and from all walks of life.
