Maddie Bowman and Jamie Anderson head to Olympic finals
Submitted by paula on Sun, 02/18/2018 - 10:22pmTwo South Lake Tahoe athletes are headed to the finals in their respective sports during the final week of the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang.
It was the debut of snowboard big air at the Olympics today, with 12 women advancing to the finals, including South Lake Tahoe's Jamie Anderson who landed cab double cork 900s in her second run.
Anderson won gold earlier in the Olympics during the slopestyle event, her second consecutive gold in the event.
Train headed back to Lake Tahoe with O.A.R. for summer concert

The second concert heading to the South Shore for the Harvey's Outdoor Concert series has been announced.
As part of their "Play That Song Tour," Train, O.A.R. and Natasha Bedingfield will stop by Lake Tahoe on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will range from $49.50 to $99.50. They are not yet on sale, but when they do they'll be available on ticketmaster.com.
Each summer, top names in the music field head to South Lake Tahoe for the summer outdoor series held behind Harvey's in an amphitheater. More names will be announced in the coming weeks.
Missing Lake Tahoe paddle boarder found in Missouri
Submitted by paula on Tue, 08/18/2015 - 12:18pmThe man who gained national attention when he went missing from his paddle board in South Lake Tahoe has turned up in Missouri.
South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) investigators had been working on the case since he disappeared on Wednesday, not knowing if he were dead or alive. The floating paddleboard with GoPro camera was found floating about 1/2 mile off shore by the Timber Cove Marina.

Tahoe Cup Race Series -Tahoe Fall Classic 22 Miler

This 22-mile point-to-point SUP and Paddleboard race starts from the Camp Richardson Marina, South Lake Tahoe and finishes in Kings Beach at the State Beach.
