We are lucky enough to live in an exciting time where we have research to find evidence for what parenting strategies and qualities lead to the most successful outcomes for children. Of course, there is not one cookie cutter way for each child, and being flexible in learning what works best for your child is essential.

Postpartum Support International to hold annual Climb Out of the Darkness in SLT

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Climb Out of the Darkness®, the world’s largest event raising awareness of pregnancy and postpartum mental health disorders, will hold a regional climb in South Lake Tahoe on June 24, 2018.

Local moms and families came together on July 9 at Nevada Beach for Climb Out of the Darkness, an international event to raise awareness around postpartum depression and other associated perinatal mood disorders.

The event raised over $2,500 to support Postpartum Support International, an organization that provides support to families and education to mental health providers. Generous support was provided by Elevate Wellness Center, Barton Health, and many local businesses. You are not alone, you are not to blame, and with help, you will be well.
