Douglas County 6th graders learn about Minden-Tahoe Airport

Students had the opportunity to learn about how airplanes and airports work and how they might someday be involved in aviation. The organizers of the four day program calculated that more than 38 people volunteered some 350 hours in order to make this program a success.
Barton Foundation hands out $35,500, still has $14,500 left to give
Submitted by paula on Fri, 11/06/2015 - 11:11pmIn a community with many needs, the Barton Foundation today donated $35,500 to ten different agencies that provide services to the residents of South Lake Tahoe during their annual Philanthropy Day. For the seventh year, the Barton Foundation gave away money raised through their annual fundraising efforts which include the annual Festival of Lights.
Wonders of Water Week Returns to Tahoe Schools
