Pepper spray set off in wings of South Tahoe High
Submitted by paula on Fri, 08/30/2019 - 2:48pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Much of South Tahoe High was evacuated Friday afternoon after the release of pepper spray was released in the B Wing of the school during 4th period. Other wings of the high school were evacuated as South Lake Tahoe firemen and police responded.
At this time law enforcement and school officials are speaking with parents and students and the incident is under investigation.
Three staff members inhaled the spray and have suffered burning sensation in their lungs. One of them was directed to see medical attention.
Young Frankenstein heads into final weekend at South Tahoe High
Submitted by paula on Thu, 11/08/2018 - 11:21pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It's been 44 years since Gene Wilder brought the character of Dr. Frankenstein to the Mel Brooks comedy Young Frankenstein, along with Peter Boyle as the monster and Marty Feldman as Igor.
Now Young Frankenstein returns to the South Tahoe stage for a six-day run in their TADA Theater. Opening night was a sellout with two more days of full crowds, and they continue the production November 9-11.

Submitted by paula on Fri, 11/02/2018 - 4:18pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The popular Mel Brooks musical Young Frankenstein opens on Friday, November 2 at the TADA Theater at South Tahoe High School.
Student actors and musicians will take the stage for six days: November 2 - 4 and 9 - 11. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays are at 2:00 p.m. each weekend. The cost is just $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

Whittell falls short of another Nevada State baseball title
Submitted by paula on Sat, 05/16/2015 - 1:41pmThe Nevada State Baseball Championship title is staying in Northern Nevada, but not with the Whittell Warriors.
Defending their 2014 state title, Whittell went up against Virginia City Saturday morning at Durango High School in Las Vegas.
The 26-9 Warriors lost to the 21-3 Muckers by a score of 14-3.
Whittell is coached by Devin Ruby.
