Nevada State Fair this weekend, El Dorado County Fair follows
Submitted by paula on Mon, 06/05/2017 - 12:24pmArea residents and visitors can enjoy two big fairs with rides, music and exhibits. The 2017 Nevada State Fair runs from June 8 to June 11, and the El Dorado County Fair goes from June 15-18.

The 2017 Nevada State Fair returns this week to Carson City bringing four days of fun, entertainment, carnival rides, culture, music and more to Mills Park.
From Thursday, June 8 to Sunday, June 11, the Nevada State Fair will showcase exhibits from each participating county throughout the Silver State.
Nevada Gunfighters at Dangberg Historic Park

September 26, 2015 - 10:00am Nevada Gunfighters will be performing in a free presentation at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Saturday, September 26, at 10:00 am.
Nevada Gunfighters bring the old West to life with drama, comedy, historical portrayals and live action tales. Period dialog and authentic costumes, along with props and backdrops enhance their productions. As an added benefit to their presentations, the audience is educated in gun safety.

September 2, 2015 - 6:30pm Chautauqua performers Chuck Baldauskas and Doc Durden will present “Buffalo Bill & Wild Bill: Pals Together Again” at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Wednesday September 2, at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and free to attend.

Nevada State Fair wraps up in Carson City on Sunday
Submitted by paula on Sat, 08/01/2015 - 10:43pmThere is just one day left to enjoy the Nevada State Fair at Carson City's Fuji Park. The fair has been a four day event featuring agriculture, carnival, evening entertainment and community showcase.
Dozens of vendor will at the fair, providing food, drink and product and local information.
Sunday's schedule of events:
Carnival from noon to 11 p.m.
Nevada Civil War Volunteers Living History Camp from noon to 7 p.m.
Cook's Racing Pigs from noon to 9 p.m.
Swan Brother's Circus from noon to closing
Beer Garden from noon to closing
Entertainment from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
