Outdoor Education Night at Lake Tahoe Aleworx LTEF fundraiser

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - On the 20th of each month in 2020, the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation (LTEF) is teaming up with Lake Tahoe AleWorx for a fundraising series where all proceeds during the evening will go to the special projects of LTEF.
Each month LTEF and South Tahoe Now will spotlight the event and feature information about a different area of the local education programs offered through Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) and supported by LTEF.

Submitted by paula on Fri, 06/30/2017 - 11:40pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - "Don't be afraid of doing things different and don't be afraid of the outside world," Olympic Gold Medalist and South Shore native Jamie Anderson told those gathered on the soccer field on the Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) campus Friday night as she delivered the school's commencement keynote address. "Lead the life you're stoked for."
"Follow Your Dreams" was the theme of the evening as hundreds of family members, faculty, friends and community members watched the LTCC Class of 2017 graduate.
Sierra at Tahoe rewards straight A's with hundreds of annual passes
Submitted by paula on Mon, 10/10/2016 - 12:14pmSince 1999, Sierra at Tahoe has rewarded South Shore school children with a free pass to the resort if they complete two consecutive semesters with straight A's.
With an average of 346 passes given out annually (with a high of 377 and 361 this year), Sierra at Tahoe has shown they are committed to supporting local school children.
284 South Lake Tahoe Students Earn Free Ski Passes to Sierra At Tahoe!
Submitted by paula on Sun, 09/15/2013 - 9:15pmSierra At Tahoe has once again issued free ski passes to students of Lake Tahoe Unified School District that earned straight A's (or a 4.0 GPA)for 2 consecutive trimesters.
During the 201213 school year 284 students qualified to earn the pass.
Letters are going out to students this week with instructions on how to pick up their free ski pass.
